With strong roots in public speaking and performance, and having spent countless hours watching news programming as a child, the foundation was laid for me to pursue a career in sports journalism. I found my passion in my later high school years, where I learned to be a journalist across all platforms; especially sportscasting and television reporting.
I come from an athletic family. My father was a college football player and a three-sport high school athlete (basketball, football, track). My mother was a track runner. My brother played basketball, football, tennis, and ran track. Before pursuing media, I played basketball (poorly), tennis (poorly), and ran track (decently)—which led me to become the PA guy at my high school (public speaking is nothing new to me). Now, I prefer to lift weights (frequently) and run (sprints, mostly).
